Anna M Cardinale

Anna M. Cardinale, our beautiful Mother, beloved Grandma & Great Grandma, adored Aunt Annie and matriarch of the Amato family made her journey to heaven on July 16, 2012 at the Benedictine Hospital. She was 94 years old. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, May 7, 1918, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary Sottile Amato. Her life was devoted to her family and God. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church. Beloved wife of Louis J. Cardinale who died July 15, 2006; loving mother of Patricia Maxwell and her husband William of Kansas City, Missouri; Linda Keiser and her husband Jeff of Boca Raton, Florida; Frank Cardinale and his wife Anne of Kingston; grandmother of John Gerken III, and his wife Brenda, Holly Levine and her husband Harry, Stephen Fedak and his wife Tracy, Terri Edmunds and her husband James, Julie Fedak, Louis Cardinale and his wife, Denise, Christopher Cardinale and his wife Vera, and Michael Cardinale, great grandmother toJohn Gerken IV, Holly Gerken, William Gerken Joseph Fedak, Jessica Fedak, Mark Fedak, Connor Edmunds, Olivia Edmunds, Angelina Edmunds, Mateo Cardinale, Malena Cardinale and Cadence Cardinale; sister of the late Julia Sacco, Susan Benicase, Rita DeCicco, James Amato, Rose Gabriel, Catherine Amato, Angelo Amato and Frank Amato. Many nieces and nephews including Marie Amundson & Janis Turck also survive. Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home on Thursday, July 19, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9. The funeral procession will form on Friday at 9:00 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Church. Interment will follow in Montrepose Cemetery The family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105
