Anne Abelove, of Ringtop Road, Kingston died Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at her home after a long illness. She was 88.
Anne was the beloved wife of Robert Abelove for 50 years. They moved to Kingston in 1940, where they owned and operated Bob's Auto Parts until his death on July 6, 1988.
She was born in Gloversville, NY on November 7, 1917, a daughter of the Max and Dvera Madnick Myzal. Her sister, Pearl Myzel and her brother George Myzal died previously. Anne graduated from Gloversville High School in 1935.
A member of Congregation Agudas Achim and Hadassah, Anne volunteered in the community. She most recently volunteered at the Urban Cultural Center, Kingston.
Anne is survived by her loving daughters Kayla and Mark Feldman and Marsha and Scott Lee. She was the adored and adoring Baba of four granddaughters, Samantha Lagocki, Abigail Feldman, Dr. Timnah Lee and Rachel Lee, two great-grandchildren Jacob and Sasha Lagocki. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and her caretakers.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday at 12:30 at Simpson – Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Rabbi Yitzchok Hecht will officiate. Interment in Montrepose Cemetery.
