Arthur Forst

Arthur Forst died Friday, March 4, 2005 at the Thompson House, Rhinebeck. Arthur was born in Germany on February 27, 1906, a son of the late Joseph and Ida Issacs Forst. In 1938 he immigrated to this country and settled in this area. He was a 60-year member of Temple Emanuel. His wife, Paula Horst Forst died November 19, 2003. One brother Ernst Forst died previously. Surviving are his daughter Ruth Wally and her husband Bruce; two grandchildren Jil Tryon and Mark Wally; four great grandchildren Aubrey and Kyle Tryon, Jason and Russ Wally; one brother Kurt Forst of Florida; and two nieces. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday at 2:00 at Temple Emanuel, 243 Albany Avenue, Rabbi Yael Romer will officiate. Interment will be in Montrepose Cemetery.
