Barbara A. Greene

Barbara A. Greene, of Yarmouth Street, Kingston died Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at her home. She was 60. She was born in the Bronx on January 28, 1948 a daughter of the late John W. and Beatrice F. McCormack Dixon. Ms. Greene moved to this area 44 years ago. She received an Associates Degree from Ulster Community College in Graphic Arts and a nursing degree. She was a licensed Practical Nurse. Ms. Greene was an O.R. nurse at Benedictine Hospital. A professional photographer, she enjoyed painting and all aspects of art. She also worked at several area retail stores, including Fashion Town. Surviving are one son Eric Greene and his wife Kristen of Cottekill; one daughter Kelli Greene of Town of Ulster; two granddaughters Eryn and Mariah Greene; three brothers Ronald and James Dixon of Town of Ulster and John V. Dixon on Highland; two sisters Frances Hommel of Sawkill and Patricia Dixon Horvers of Kingston; several nieces and nephews. Reposing at His Word Revealed Church, 119 Barbarosa Lane, Kingston on Saturday from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 5:00 p.m. Rev. Theodore Van Dyke Jr. will officiate. Cremation will be in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery. Private inurnment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
