Barbara DeMicco

Barbara DeMicco, formerly of Pine Street, West Hurley, died at Ferncliff Nursing Home on April 17, 2012. She was 79. Barbara was born in Kingston, the daugther of the late Samuel and Rose Levine Basch. She graduated from Kingston High School and graduated Plattsburgh State Teachers College with a Masters in Education where she received a teaching degree. She taught elementary school in Kingston and Boiceville, as well as GED classes. On November 10, 1956 she married Anthony C. DeMicco. Tony died September 8, 2006. She is survived by her son, Michael J. DeMicco, and his wife, Debra Bresnan; her cousins Eli Basch of Kingston, David Levine of CT, Alex Bahl of FL and Beverly Lieberman of NJ. There will not be a public memorial service. Service will be private and conducted at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to West Hurley Rescue Squad.
