Betty Jean Ehlers

Betty Jean "Toot" of Tongore Road, Stone Ridge died Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at Benedictine Hospital in Kingston. She was 61. She was born June 22, 1946 in Middletown, a daughter of Betty DeRosa Winnie and the late Melvin E. Winnie. Mrs. Ehlers worked for many years in the Kingston area garment industry as a seamstress. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and collecting knickknacks. In addition to her mother of Lamontville, she is survived by her husband of 26 years, Calvin N. Ehlers Jr. They were married on October 10, 1981. Also surviving are four brothers, Malvin F. Winnie of Newburgh, Thomas J. Winnie of Kingston, LeRoy E. Winne of Kingston, John M. Winnie of Wawarsing and her sister, Patricia A. Sparling of Hurley. Many aunts, uncles and nieces and nephews also survive. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm. Cremation will be in Wiltwyck Cemetery.
