Burton Kanover

Burton Kanover of Sawood Lane, Woodstock died Saturday, November 26, 2005 at Benedictine Hospital. He was 69. He was born in the Bronx on August 14, 1936, a son of the late Philip and Lillian Sontag Kanover. Mr. Kanover's family moved to Hunter when he was a child and then settled in Napanoch for many years. Mr. Kanover was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. An area resident for 30 years, Mr. Kanover co-owned and operated the family dry cleaning business Revonak, Inc. with his brother. They operated in both New Paltz and Kingston for 30 years. He retired in 2000. Surviving are his brother Stanley Kanover and his wife Barbara of Kingston; and several nieces and nephews. Private graveside services will be conducted at Montrepose Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
