Calvin Lader

Calvin Lader of Paul Ave. died Saturday, October 29, 2005 at Hudson Valley Hospital Center, Peekskill. He was 82. Born in Poland on January 7, 1923, he was a son of the late Isaac and Maryam Rosenblatt Lader. Mr. Lader immigrated to this country at age 7 and settled in New York City. He simultaneously attended Cooper Union in New York City and New York University Institute of Fine Arts where he received his degrees. He worked as an artist his entire life. He married Muriel Aronowitz on June 29, 1952. Mr. Lader was a WW II US Army veteran having served in the European Theater of Operations. He taught Art in New York City schools. Beloved husband of Muriel Lader, loving father of Ellis Lader and his wife Marie, Lauren Boer and her husband Israel; grandfather of Joshua, Rachael and Ariana Lader, Miriam and Ariel Boer. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at Simpson – Gaus Funera Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Tuesday at 11:00 AM. Interment in Riverside Cemetery, Rochelle Park, NJ. Memorial contributions may be made to the Benedictine Health Foundation, 105 Mary’s Ave., Kingston, 12401.
