Carol Ann Moriarty, 49, of Kingston, New York passed away peacefully on Monday, February 22, 2021, after a long battle with colon cancer.
She was a beloved mother and grandmother. She was born Carol Ann Martarella to Joseph & Carolyn of Staten Island, New York on April 7, 1971. Carol attended St. Clare’s Parish School, IS 24 and The Francis School in Staten Island. She married Thomas Moriarty in 1994 and settled in the Staten Island town of Annadale. She was a long time parishioner of St. Clare R.C. Church. She was a full time mom but also worked as a hairdresser. Carol Ann had a huge heart and would help anyone in need.
Carol Ann is survived by her daughter, Jessica Fisher and son-in-law Kevin, her 3 step children Jennifer, Rachel & Richard Moriarty. She had 2 grandsons, Julian & Joel, a granddaughter that is due in May and 5 step- grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Joseph Martarella Jr, her sisters Christine Martarella-Quadrello and Natasha Martarella.
She was predeceased by husband Tommy, her father Joseph and her mother Carolyn. Her family also includes her loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was proud of her family, and especially treasured her grandchildren’s
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 7th 11:15am at St. Clare’s Chapel.
A private burial will immediately follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
This day, April 7th would have been Carol Ann’s 50th Birthday.
