Catherine E. McCloskey

Catherine E. McCloskey, a lifelong Kingston resident died Monday, March 1, 2004 at the Golden Hill Health Care Facility. She was 82. She was born in Kingston on March 31, 1921, a daughter of the late William J. and Katherine Buchanan McCloskey. For many years Miss McCloskey worked at the former Kingston Trust Co., Broadway, Kingston and later the Key Bank. Miss McCloskey attended St. Mary's School and was a former parishioner of St. Mary's Church. A current parishioner of St. Joseph's Church, she belonged to the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Santa Maria. Two sisters Eleanor Cappillino and Theresa Schrader, and five brothers, Francis J., Philip D., William J. Jr., Michael J. and Robert J. "Skinner" McCloskey. Surviving are two brothers Gerard M. and John J. McCloskey, both of Kingston; many nieces and nephews. Reposing at Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Thursday 3:00 - 6:00 PM. The funeral will be Friday at 9:30 AM from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church at 10:00 AM. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery.
