Dennis A. Sorge

A memorial service will be conducted at Old Dutch Reformed Church in Kingston on Saturday, October 23rd at 11:00 a.m. Dennis A. Sorge of Van Dale Road, Woodstock died Thursday at Kingston Hostpital. He was 71. Mr. Sorge was born in Passaic, NJ, a son of the late Patrick and Dorothy Walker Sorge. Formally of Elmwood, NJ, he enlisted with the National Guard after completing high school. For the past 30 years he has resided in Woodstock. For a half century, begnning in 1957, Mr. Sorge worked for Walgreens Co. He was a store manager at several stores in New Jersey and more recently at the Kingston Plaza store. He retired in 2007. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ruth Barkalow Sorge, his daughter, Denise Peterson of Saugerties, and several grandchildren.
