Dolores J. Fiore

Dolores J. Fiore, 81, a long time resident of Kingston, died May 27, 2014 at Golden Hill Health Care Center. Born in South Haven, MI, she was a daughter of the late Frederick & Zita Dueppe Herzog. Dolores moved to Kingston in the early 1940's. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, reading, crocheting and traveling. One of her favorite destinations was the Jersey Shore where she loved to spend time with her family. She is survived by three children, Joseph F. Fiore, Jr and his wife Sharon of West Palm Beach, FL, Kathleen Saveskie and her husband John of Kerhonkson, Teresa Augustine and her partner Duane Pulver of Kingston, six siblings, Rita McCullough and her husband Francis of Allentown, PA, Donald Herzog of Delmar, NY, William Herzog and his wife Eileen of Royal Palm Beach, FL, Barbara Scharrchu of Glasco, Carol A. Hughes of Saugerties and Mary E. Sarro and her husband Thomas of Lake Katrine. Six grandchildren, Tara, Andrea, Michelle, Joanna, Joseph III and Richard, along with three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, Dolores was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Joseph F. Fiore, Sr, whom she married on July 2, 1950 and who passed in 1990, a son Michael Fiore and two brothers, Robert L. Herzog and Charles E. Herzog. Dolores will be reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave, on Thursday, May 29, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral procession will form on Friday from the funeral home at 9:00 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Colman's Church. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
