Dorothy Luby of Brigham Lane, Lake Katrine, NY died Monday, August 15, 2005 at their camp in Schroon Lake. She was 82. She was born in Kingston on February 27, 1923 a daughter of the late John and Eva Simpson Doran. On April 22, 1944 she married Donald Luby. An alumni of the Academy of St. Ursula, Mrs. Luby was a communicant of St. Catherine Laboure Church. One brother John Doran died in 1983, and one sister Margaret M. Campbell died in 1984. Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Donald Luby; her daughter Donna Marie Luby of Lake Katrine and her son Daniel Luby and his wife Joyce of Sawkill; three grandchildren Tammy Kalfas, Daniel Luby III and Dawn Luby; several nieces and nephews. Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Wednesday 7-9 and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral will be Friday at 9:00 AM from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Catherine Laboure Church at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
