Edith G. Kowalewsky

Edith G. Kowalewsky of Hardenburg Rd., Rifton died Saturday, February 12, 2005 at Ten Broeck Commons Nursing Home. She was 93. She was born in Germany on November 30, 1911. She married William Kowalewsky on December 26, 1940. Mrs. Kowalewsky was naturalized in this country in 1944. Edith is survived by many dear friends, including George and Deborah Heissenbuttel of Rifton. Her care and love of all animals will be remembered. Reposing at Simpson – Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Monday 4:00 – 7:00 PM. The funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday at 11:30 at the funeral home, Rev. David Brechter will officiate. Interment will be in Wiltwyck Cemetery.
