Esther E. Adin

Esther E. Adin formerly of New York City and Rosendale died Thursday, March 5, 2009 in Schaghticoke, NY. She was 86. She was born July 24, 1922 in Kingston, a daughter of the late Meyer and Jennie Tomkin Adin. For many years she was employed as an office manager / bookkeeper in the New York City garment district. She was a member of Congregation Agudas Achim. She enjoyed painting still life. Surviving is her brother, Kenneth Adin of Town of Rosendale and her sister, Anna Farber of Boca Raton, FL. Many nieces and nephews also survive. One sister, Edith Adin died previously. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday at 12:00 pm by Rabbi Y. Yitzchok Hecht at Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston. Interment will be in Montrepose Cemetery.
