Ethel V. Schwerin

Ethel V. Schwerin of West Hurley died Friday, November 14, 2008 at Golden Hill Health Care Facility. She was 87. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on Feburary 11, 1921, a daughter of the late Clarence C. and Mary Emma Williams Brockmeier. A graduate of Germantown High School, PA, she married Irvin W. Schwerin on April 24, 1942. She previously worked as a switchboard operator for Applied Logic, Princeton, NJ until retirement in 1973. One son Paul M. Schwerin, one sister Mary Jane Hoover and one grandson Charles S. Blethen III, all died previously. Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Irvin W. Schwerin; two daughters Anne S. Blethen of Scottsdale, AZ and Carol S. Stewart of Woodstock; one sister Clara L. Critchlow of Willow Street, PA; one brother in law A. Jackson Hoover of Chattanooga, TN; two grandchildren Phyllis Ann Gorin and Brian S. Blethen. Inurnment will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Trevose, PA at a later date.
