Felicita Vazquez

Felicita Vazquez, Fashion designer, seamstress, mother and amazing salsa dancer from the Bronx NY, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Golden Hill Nursing & Rehabilitation Center after a long illness. She was 85 years old. Born in Naranjito, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Maximiliano & Jovita Rodriquez Figueroa. Felicita is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth P. Vazquez of New Paltz, two sisters, Maria Figueroa of Charlotte, NC and Carmen Lozada of the Bronx. Two grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, Felicita was predeceased by her husband of 50 years Miguel Vazquez, her daughter Evelyn Joyce Vazquez and 11 siblings. The family will receive friends at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave on Monday, May 14, 2018 from 4-7 PM. A prayer service will be held at 6:00 PM.
