Florence H. Goldfarb of Hillside Terrace, Kingston and Pompano Beach, FL died Thursday, July 05, 2007 at Benedictine Hospital. She was 84. She was born November 25, 1922 in Brooklyn, the daughter of the late Morris and Gertrude Goldstein Dubin. A homemaker, during World War II, she was employed at the Brooklyn Army Terminal. She was a member of Congregation Ahavath Israel and the Sisterhood of Congregation Ahavath Israel. She was also a Red Hatter. She was the beloved wife of Alex D. Goldfarb and mother of Sheldon Goldfarb and his wife, Amy Weber of Chappaqua; grandmother of Daniel, Ali and Cara. She will be missed. Funeral services will be conducted Fri. at 10:00 am at Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston. Rabbi Tamar Crystal will officiate. Interment will be in New Montefiore Cemetery, Farmingdale. The family will be sitting Shiva in Kingston on Sunday and Monday; sitting Shiva in Chappaqua, NY on Tuesday evening. Memorial contributions may be directed to Congregation Ahavath Israel, P.O. Box 3063, Kingston, NY 12402-3063.
