Frances M. Carpino of Madison Avenue died Thursday, November 20, 2003 at Benedictine Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born in Glasco on September 2, 1917, a daughter of the late Frank and Grace Costello Belsito. Mrs. Carpino graduated Saugerties High School and moved to Kingston after her marriage to Michael J. Carpino Sr. in 1940.
For 42 years Mrs. Carpino worked at the Baltz Pajama Factory, Kingston.
A parishioner of St. Joseph's Church, she belonged to the Altar - Rosary Society. Mrs. Carpino was active at the Y.M.C.A., Kingston and the Benedictine Hospital Auxilary. She was a former member of the Wiltwyck Golf Club.
Her husband Michael J. Carpino Sr. died in 1999. Three brothers, Pasquale, Joseph and John Belsito and one sister Mary Brocco, all died previously.
Surviving are her son Michael Carpino Jr. and his wife Kay of Kingston, one sister Rose Zammiello of Kingston, four grandchildren Kathy Carpino, Michael Carpino III, Mark Carpino and his wife Jennifer, and Karissa Carpino; and two great grandchildren, Drew and Ty Carpino. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Further obituary information and funeral arrangements will be announced on Friday by Simpson – Gaus Funeral Home, Kingston. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church, Kingston. Entombment will be in the Wiltwyck Community Mausoleum, Kingston.
