Frances P. Veltre

Frances P. Veltre of Washington Ave., Kingston died Saturday, June 20, 2009 at her residence. She was 91. She was born in East Kingston on June 1, 1918. A seamstress, for many years she worked at Jacobson's Shirt Factory, Kingston. Mrs. Veltre later worked at Grant's, uptown Kingston and at Woolworth's in Eastchester. She was a parishioner at St. Catherine Laboure Church. Her husband Ralph Q. Veltre died March 1, 2000. One brother Augustine Martello died previously. Surviving are one daughter Diane Dunn and her husband Carlos Dunn III of Catskill; one grandson Michael Dunn and his wife Liz of Highland; one sister, Theresa Costello; several nieces and nephews. Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Wednesday from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. The funeral will then process to St. Catherine Laboure Church for a 12:00 Funeral Mass. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hudson Valley Senior Residnece, 80 Washington Ave., Kingston, NY 12401.
