Freida N. Weinstein

Freida N. Weinstein, formerly of Kingston, died Monday, September 3, 2007 in Pembroke Memorial Hospital. She was 85. A native and longtime Kingston resident, she was born May 24, 1922, a daughter of the late Joseph and Sadie Jacobson Gruberg. A graduate of Kingston High School, she married Bernard Weinstein on August 3, 1947. She moved to Hollywood, Florida in 1970. Her husband, Bernard 'Sudsy' Weinstein died June 13, 1998. Her brother Gerald I. Gruberg died September 2, 1986. Surviving are one son Larry Weinstein and his wife Judy of Cooper City, FL; one daughter Barbara Vaughn of Kingston, NY; two brothers Jack Gruberg of Poughkeepsie, NY and Dr. Cy Gruberg of Weston, Florida; five grandchildren Marc, Justin, Corey and Shanna Weinstein and Stefan Sanzi; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 12:00 at Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, Rabbi Tamar Crystal of Congregation Ahavath Israel will officiate. Interment will be in Montrepose Cemetery.
