Gertrude Rosen

Gertrude Rosen died Sunday, March 14, 2010 at Mountain Valley Manor in Kingston. She was 92. She was born in Poughkeepsie, a daughter of the late Phillip and Rose Kaplan Canter. A housewife, she was a member of Temple Beth El in Poughkeepsie. Surviving is her husband, Isidore Rosen, her daughter, Penny Rosen of Larkspur, CA and her son, Ron Rosen and his wife Laurie of Kingston and one sister, Phyllis Stein of Poughkeepsie. Her granddaugther, Kate Rosen and many nieces and nephews also survive. A sister, Dorothy Weiss and a brother, Herman Canter died previously. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, 11:00 AM at Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston by Rabbi Neal Loevinger of Temple Beth El in Poughkeepsie. Interment will follow in Temple Beth El Cemetery.
