Gloria Israel

Gloria Israel, 92 passed away peacefully on April 13, 2018. Gloria was born in Kingston New York to Max and Elsie Dubin, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years Sidney, as well as her devoted brother Jack. After a successful career in the field of interior design in New York she and Sidney retired to Sun Lakes Az. 30 years ago to begin the second phase of their lives. Gloria and Sid became active in various Sun Lakes community activities, including being the original organizers of what has become the Phoenix Jewish Film Festival. She found a second career of being an interior design helper to many of her neighbors as well as becoming a passionate cook and host to many parties. Her 30 years in Sun Lakes with the large number of friends brought much joy as well as seeing her grandchildren grow and become mature adults with Grandma always available to provide her input…a VERY special individual. Gloria with her positive attitude and enthusiastic approach to life was and will continue to be an inspiration to her 2 sons, Marc and Richard, daughter in laws Debbie and Jill, as well as her grandchildren, Scottie, Zach and Sasha. A funeral will be held in Kingston NY on April 19,2018. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation, 9240 E Sun Lakes Blvd, Sun Lakes, AZ 85248.
