Goldie Kushner

Goldie "Bubbe" Kushner, 96, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, formerly of Kingston, NY died, Friday, July 17, 2015 at Sullivan County Adult Care Center. Born in Kingston, she was a daughter of the late Abraham & Esther Rabinowitz Cohen. Goldie was warm, compassionate and enjoyed spending time with her family, and loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Goldie is survived by two daughters, Arlene Levine and her husband, Harvey of Ellenville, Diane Gutman of Long Beach, NY, four grandchildren, Steven Levine and his wife Erin, Eric Levine and his wife Lindsay, Sam Gutman, Jaqueline Gutman, three great grandchildren, Evan Levine, Keegan Levine, Eden Levine. One niece, Toby Heyman, also survives. Goldie was predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years, David Kushner, whom she married on December 17, 1945 and who passed in 1995. She was also predeceased by her sister, Miriam Brown. The family of Goldie would also like to show their appreciation to Pam Polick for all she did to make Goldie comfortable and provide her with incredible companionship, as well as Iraida Levine for her friendship through the years. Also a thank you to all her friends, especially Carol, at the Ellenville Senior Housing. A graveside service will be conducted on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Montrepose Cemetery at 12:00 noon, with Rabbi Yitzchok Hecht of Congregation Agudas Achim, officiating.
