Helen Virginia Starkman

Helen V. Starkman, 86, a former resident of Kingston for many years died Monday, December 29, 2003 in Florida. She had been a secretary in both the financial and advertising business, as well as a homemaker. In her younger days she was an opera singer and remained an avid enthusiast. She was born in New York City September 4, 1917, the daughter of Stanley Syman and Helen Syman McNally. She is preceded in death by her husband, Michael C. Starkman, owner of the former Valley Advertising Agency, Kingston. She is survived by sons Jeffrey, of Tampa, Florida and Stephen, of Rhinebeck. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday, January 3, 2004 at Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home 411 Albany Ave., Kingston.
