Iris Mitra Vega

Iris Mitra Vega of Main Street, East Kingston died June 4, 2007 in East Kingston. She was 52. She was born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico on May 1, 1955, a daughter of the late Juan and Aracelis Trujillo Jimenez. Formerly of Brooklyn and Florida, Mrs. Vega has lived in this area since 1997. A cashier at the Dollar Tree, Town of Ulster, she was a Certified Nurses Assistant. Her husband, Ivan Vega, died May 5, 2007. Surviving are four sons, Juan Reyes of East Kingston, Juan Pena of New Port News, Virginia, Raul Lopez of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Eduardo Lopez of Saugerties; five grandchildren Adriana and Juan Reyes, Jr.; Miguel and Mya Lopez and Alexander Pena. There will be a gathering of family and friends at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Friday from 3:00 - 6:00 PM. At 5:00 PM a funeral service will be conducted.
