Jerome Taub of Lake Hill, died Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Kimble Farms Nursing Care Center in Lenox, MA.
Born in Brooklyn, NY in 1924, he was the son of the late Abner Taub and Lina Wilkenfeld Taub.
After a more than an adventurous life, Jerome moved to Woodstock in 1996 with his beloved, Carol Fox Prescott. He served on the Democratic Committee and was an active and appreciative member of The Woodstock Jewish Congregation.
As described by a friend, Jerome was a “wisdom keeper, poet, Purim play maestro, lover, father, friend!”
Jerome is survived by his partner, Carol Fox Prescott of Lake Hill, three children, Abner Taub and his wife Lilliann of Nashua, NH, Barry Taub of Eugene, OR and Heidi Taub of San Diego, CA., a half-brother, Tom Schott of NY, NY, three grandchildren, Nathaniel, Miriam and Jesse, four great grandchildren, Noah, Max, Philip and Vera.
A Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Woodstock Jewish Congregation at 11:00 AM, with Rabbi Jonathan Kligler, officiating.
Interment will follow in Montrepose Cemetery.
