JoAnn D. Jansen

Jo Ann D. Jansen of Manor Place, Kingston died Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Benedictine Hospital. She was 54. A native and lifelong Kingston resident, she was born January 12, 1955, a daughter of the late James J. and Doris Kennedy Strubel. A Kingston High School graduate, Jo Ann played in the former "Kingston Indians" band. She was an avid bowler and Yankee fan. She married Ronald E. Jansen, Jr. on August 5, 1989. For the past 32 years she worked for HeritagEnergy, Kingston as comptroller. Her brother James R. Strubel died previously. Surviving are her husband of 19 years, Ronald E. Jansen, Jr.; two daughters Rosanne Mae "Rosie" and Victoria Lynne "Tori" Jansen, both at home; one niece Kathy Jo Myles of North Carolina and one uncle Robert Kennedy and his wife Jane of Kingston. Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Monday from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday at noon at the funeral home. Interment will be in Montrepose Cemetery. Contributions in Jo Ann's memory may be made to the scholarship fund of "Catskill Mountain U.S.B.C. Youth", 12 Virginia Ave., Saugerties, NY 12477.
