Joan Moone

Joan Moone of Penstock Lane died Sunday, February 07, 2010 at Kingston Hospital. She was 77. She was born in the Bronx, a daughter of the late Charles and Evelyn Ackermann Homfeld. A graduate of Kingston High School, Class of 1950, she was class valedictorian. A legal secretary, she worked for many years at Richter, Werbalowsky and Shelton in Kingston. She belonged to the legal secretary's association. She enjoyed cooking, entertaining and traveling with friends and family. For many years, she lived in Port Ewen and High Falls. Mrs. Moone llived in Lake Katrine for the past eight years. Her husband, Fred "Dutch" Moone died July 1, 1986 and her son, Scott Moone died September 22, 2007. Surviving is her daughter, Tracy Bonetti and her husband, Bruno of Kingston; her son, Ken Moone and his wife Lynette of Kingston; her sister, Donna Cea of North Carolina; her daughter-in-law Grace Ann Moone of High Falls; three grandchildren, Kara and Jenn Bonetti, Grace Elizabeth Moone and her nephew, Michael Cea and her niece Lisa Thorpe. Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston on Tuesday from 3 7 PM. DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATH Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on THURSDAY at 12:00 pm.
