John W. Hornaday

John W. Hornaday of New York City and Accord NY, died Sunday, May 29, 2005 at his Accord residence. He was 56. John was born in Greensboro, NC on October 4, 1948, son of the late Wayne Arrington and Helen Melnikoff Hornaday. He was a graduate of N.C. Wesleyan and received his MFA from Ohio University. Formerly of Norfolk, VA, where he was involved with children's theater for an Appalacian enrichment program, John moved to New York City in the early 1980's. For many years John was a producer for USA Networks. Prominent projects included 'Kid's Club', 'In A Minute' and 'Inside Space'. He is survived by his partner of 15 years, John Morrill, and his brother Neal Hornaday of Ohio, two sisters Anne Siems of Huntington, PA and Mary Louise Taylor of Cincinatti, OH; and adored by two nieces, two nephews, four grandnephews and one grandniece.
