Julia B. Castiglione

Julia B. Castiglione, 80, a lifelong resident of Ulster Landing Rd, died Saturday, January 14th at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Fioro & Helen Moritz Mercurio. She worked in the catering business for Lew & Amy Kirshner Catering and then for the Kingston School System. She was an active member of the Democrat Society for many years. Her husband, Flavio Castiglione, died in 1968. She is survived by her three children, Mark Castiglione of Saugerties, Karen Williams of Saugerties and Milette Castiglione-Browne of Windemere, FL, five grandchildren, Mark, Jason, Nicholas, Ashton and Aiden, 4 great grandchildren, Brittanie, Mark, Nicholas and Meadow and one great great grandson, Julian. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was predeceased by her sister, Helen Marie Walker. Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave, on Monday 4-8 PM, with a prayer service at 7:30. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 11:30 AM in St. Mary's Cemetery Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
