June Gonzalez

June Gonzalez, formerly of Dunwoodie Dr., Town of Ulster died Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Ferncliff Nursing Home. She was 84. She was born in Flushing, Queens and for many years worked for the late Dr. Daniel P. Cahill in South Ozone Park. June moved to the Town of Ulster to live with her son. June belonged to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, Saugerties. Loving mother of Edward Smith and his wife Kathleen of Town of Ulster, grandmother of Christine Smith and the late Joseph Smith, great grandmother of Raegen Smith, sister of John Smith of San Antonio, TX , Cecil Smith of Boston, Mass., and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her closest friend Nena Feurtado of Las Vegas, NV. She is predeceased by her husband Enrique and brother Edward and sister Celia. A gather of family and friends will begin on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will then be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Inurnment will be in Mt. Marion Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ferncliff Nursing Home.
