Koni Borst, 72, of Kingston, died Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at his home.
Born in Königstein, Germany, he was the son of the late Konrad & Friedel Flach Borst, Sr.
Koni is survived by his wife of 43 years, Debra Acker Borst, whom he married on June 10, 1978, his brother, Erich Borst of Lake Katrine, his mother in law, Beverly Acker of Kingston, three sister in laws, Daryl Wells of Saugerties, Susan Acker and Beth Murphy both of Kingston, a brother in law, John Acker of Rhinebeck, two nephews, Neil Borst of Ruby and James Murphy of Saugerties, a niece, Kayla Murphy of Kingston, two great nephews, Steven and Thomas Murphy and one great niece, Hazel Murphy.
Koni is a member of Joyce-Schirick VFW Post 1386 and American Legion Post 150. He enjoyed spending his summers at our family’s camp in the Adirondacks, he enjoyed boating and 4 wheelers. He was our favorite handyman.
A private graveside service will be held in Montrepose Cemetery.
