Lauren Satinsky of Sun Lakes, Arizona and formerly of Kingston, New York died Tuesday, November 27, 2012. He was 84. He was born in Kingston, NY a son of the late Samuel and Nellie Parnett Satinsky. A graduate of Poughkeepsie High School, Lauren served in Korea in the US Army from 1946 - 1948. On October 14, 1956 he married Kitty Heischuber. Lauren worked with his father in Poughkeepsie and Kingston as a butcher. He then founded Duso Insurance Appraisal Services, based in Kingston. He later owned and operated Kingston Finishing Corp. in Lake Katrine. A member of Temple Emanuel, Kingston and B'nai Brith Lauren and Kitty moved to Arizona in 2000. They belong to the Jewish Congregation in Sun Lakes. Beloved husband of Kitty Satinsky, loving father of Mark Steven Satinsky and his wife Julie of Irving, Texas, Ellen Satinsky Larkin and her husband Joseph of Chandler, Arizona and Neal Satinsky who died July 24, 1983; loving grandfather of Sarah Michelle, Katie Nicole and Emily Nina Satinsky, Connor Niall and Steven Raymond Larkin; stepson of the late Edith Kaplan Satinsky. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday at 10:00 am at Temple Emanuel, 243 Albany Ave., Kingston, Rabbi Yael Romer will officiate. Interment will follow in Montrepose Cemetery. Funeral arrangements by Simpson Gaus Funeral Home, Kingston. Memorial contributions may be made to the Neal Satinsky Memorial Fund at Temple Emanuel or to a charity of your choice.
