Leonard Kronick of Main St., Kingston died Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Kingston Hospital. He was 79. He was born in North Adams, MA, a son of the late William and Celia Summerblum. A graduate of Drury High School, he then graduated from A.I.C., Springfield, MA. He received a Bachelor's Degree from SUNY Albany in Education and Finance. He married Roslyn Marquis on October 6, 1956 and moved to this area. Mr. Kronick began his career at I.B.M. in 1956. He retired as a Financial Analyst in 1991 and belonged to the Quarter Century Club. A member of Congregation Ahavath Israel, he previously taught Sunday school at Temple Emanuel. An avid golfer, he previously played at Red Hook Country Club. Beloved husband of Roslyn Kronick; loving father of David Marc Kronick and his wife Brenda of Cheshire, MA, Robyn Kronick of Kingston and Shari Ostrowsky and her husband Joseph of Walworth; brother of Anita Kill of Manhattan; grandfather of Julianna, Lily, Noelle and Grace Kronick, Marisa and Sarah Ostrowsky; uncle to many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday at 12:00 at Simpson Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Rabbi Jesse Olitzky will officiate. Interment will follow in Montrepose Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc., 2 Jefferson Plaza, Poughkeepsie NY 12603.
