Lester F. Jansen, Jr.

Lester F. 'Butch' Jansen Jr., 63, of St. James Street, Kingston died Christmas Day, December 25, 2003 at Kingston Hospital. A native and lifelong Kingston resident, he was born June 1, 1940, a son of the late Lester F. and Genevieve K. Hempstead Jansen Sr. A furniture mover, Mr. Jansen worked for Bekins Van Lines, Kingston and then at John Rapp Van Lines for many years. He recently was a driver at Kingston Kabs. A country music fan, Mr. Jansen was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Kingston Lodge. His wife Carol Ann Valyou died June 19, 1989. Surviving are one daughter Bonnie Ann Van Vliet of Kingston, one brother Ronald E. Jansen Sr. of Kingston and one sister Patricia A. Jansen DeGraff of Kingston; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Reposing at Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Monday from 7:00 - 9:00 PM. The funeral will be Tuesday at 12:00 PM at the funeral home, Deacon Richard Frohmiller will officiate. Interment will be in Montrepose Cemetery.
