Lillian Basch Estroff Kitia

Lillian Basch Estroff Kitia of Washington Ave. and formerly of Miller's Lane died Saturday, September 20, 2008 at Benedictine Hospital. She was 87. She was born November 19, 1920 in Kingston a daughter of the late Louis and Lena Dobey Basch. For many years, Mrs. Kitia was employed in the men's department of the former London's Department Store. Her husband, Sylvan Estroff died previously. Surviving are two sons, Stephen Estroff and his wife Leslie of Huntersville, NC;, David Estroff and his wife Anne of Kerhonkson; one sister Beatrice Kellar of Richmond, VA; three grandchildren, Susann Estroff, Sharon Taszak, Andrew Estroff and one great-grandchild of Caleb Taszak. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Two brothers, Daniel and Joseph Basch and two sisters, Esther Bahl and Sophie Beck died previously. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, 12:00 PM at Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston. Cantor Robert Cohen will officiate.
