Louise Dirago

Louise Dirago of Balmville Road, Newburgh died Friday, June 4, 2004 at St. Francis Hospital. She was 93. She was born in New York City on August 20, 1910, a daughter of the late James and Elizabeth LaPolla Sagarese. She was a graduate of Julia Richmond High School in New York City. A longtime resident of Milton, she moved to Newburgh in 1995. Her husband John Dirago died December 9, 1994. Two brothers, Joseph and Robert Sagarese and one niece Lesley Douglas and one nephew Keith Sagarese all died previously. Surviving are her nephew Edward Sagarese and his wife Katherine of Milton, two nieces Joanne Pagnotta and her husband Dominick of Marlboro, Noel Oellerich of Old Saybrook, Conn., many great nieces and great nephews. Reposing at the Sutton Funeral Home, 1 Woodside Place, Highland on Sunday 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Family and friends will gather at St. Mary’s Church, Marlboro on Monday for a 10:30 Funeral Mass. Entombment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh.
