Margaret Tiano

Margaret M. “Molly” Tiano of Brewster St. died Wednesday, May 18, 2005 at Kingston Hospital. She was 80. She was born March 26, 1925 in Kingston, a daughter of the late Michael and Ella Sheldon Curlin. For many years, she was employed as an aide at the former Benedictine Hospital Senior Residence. She retired in 1988. She enjoyed traveling. Her husband, John H. Tiano Sr. died June 9, 2004. Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Tiano Allen and her husband, Steven of Kingston and Lisa Tiano Gajdos and her husband, Paul of Highland, her son, John H. Tiano Jr. of Kingston, a sister, Elizabeth Saban of Saugerties and a brother, Harold “Butch” Curlin of Kingston. Seven grandchildren, Jaimee Allen, Meghan Burke, Seth Allen, Amy Tiano, Kristin Tiano, Nicholas Tiano, Beth Tiano and great-grandchildren Madison Burke and Reagan Allen and many nieces and nephews also survive. Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral procession will form on Saturday at 9:15 am from the funeral home. At 10:00 am a funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Kingston. Interment will follow in Wiltwyck Cemetery.
