Mark Glenn Skinner

April 26, 1959 — November 10, 2006

Mark Glenn Skinner of Route 213, Rifton, died at Benedictine Hospital Friday, November 10, 2006. He was 47. Mark was born in Newburgh on April 26, 1959, a son to Ruth Rae Skinner and the late John Day Skinner. He graduated Kingston High School, class of 1976. On July 21, 1982 he married Lillian Andino-Skinner and was a Rifton area resident for 42 years. Since 1977 Mark worked as a care taker for the children’s camp at Goodard Riverside Community Center, in Rifton retiring in 1995. A mechanic and rebuilder of Volkswagons, he also has an extensive collection of Volkswagon models. He was a self taught cook and baker who made wonderful cookies and cheesecakes. Surving in addition to his wife and mother are his two children Mark Teodoro Skinner and Jasmine Allegra Andino-Skinner; two sisters, Kathy Lynn Ramakka of Richland, WA and Jeanne Picano of Queensbury, N.Y.; one brother, John Gregory Skinner of Belgrade, ME., numerous nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Marlene Palumbo of Fort Collins, CO. Family and friends will gather on Saturday, November 18th from 1:00 - 3:00 PM at Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. A Memorial Service will then be conducted at 3:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 95 Schwenk Dr., Kingston, NY 12401.
