You are welcomed to the graveside inurnment and monument dedication for Nancy Domanico Hamilton on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 12:00. Family and friends will gather at the front gate of Montrepose (just before noon.) We will then process in to the gravesite for the service. Nancy Rose Domanico Hamilton, 68, of Rivka Road, Saugerties and formerly of Kingston NY died Saturday, May 16, 2009 at home after a long illness. Nancy was a Registered Professional nurse for 46 years. She was a graduate of Kingston High School and the Kingston Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1962. Nancy was a devoted mother and grandmother, who devoted many years to her family, her community and to all causes on behalf of children. Nancy's nursing career began at Deborah Hospital, Browns Mills, NJ, 1962- 1964. Nancy worked at Kingston Hospital from 1964-1991, working many years in the Emergency Department. From 1992 to 2002, Nancy worked as a school nurse at the M. Clifford Miller Junior High School. Nancy held membership in the Mental health Association of Ulster County and the Ulster County School Nurse Association. She was a parishioner and choir member at St. Mary's R.C. Church of Kingston. Nancy is survived by her husband Ron, a son, Scott David Hamilton of Rochester, NY and Sherri Baker of Rochester, NY; a daughter, Lisa Rose Armstrong and her husband Gregory Armstrong of Highland, NY and her two grandchildren, Olivia and Jake Armstrong of Highland, NY Nancy was born June 5, 1940 in Kingston, the daughter of the late Frank and Rose Turck Domanico. Nancy was the sister of the late Joyce A. Sheffer and the sister-in-law of the late Leroy Sheffer. Nancy is survived by a sister, Marian Cornelske and a brother-in-law William Cornelske of Port Ewen, NY. Also surviving, her maternal aunt, Amelia Turck Chmura and her husband Paul Chmura of Kingston, NY. In addition, Nancy is survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews and dear friends, Florence Hyatt and Mary Tomaseski. Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston on Tuesday from 4 - 8 PM. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, please honor Nancy's wishes on behalf of her love for all of her animal friends, kindly contribute to Ulster County SPCA, 20 Wiedy Road, Kingston, NY 12401; the Saugerties Animal Emergency Fund, c/o Ms. Marie Post, 93 Manorville Road, Saugerties, NY 12477 of the Catskill Animal Sanctuary, 316 Old Stage Road, Saugerties, NY 12477.
