Nicholas T. Pascaretti

Nicholas Pascaretti of Highland Ave., Ulster Park died Friday, November 16, 2007 at his home. He was 80. He was born in Long Island City on April 16, 1927, a son of the late Anthony and Mildred Aquina Pascaretti. A US Army veteran of WW II, he served from 1945 - 1946. Formerly of Elmhurst and Flushing, Queens, Mr. Pascaretti moved to Ulster Park in 1952. In November 29, 1958 he married Josephine Zizolfo. Since 1952 to 1968 he owned and operated Tranquility Poultry Farms in St. Remy with Arnold Parodi. He retired as a union carpenter, from Local 265, in 1989. A parishioner of St. Peter’s Church, Rosendale, Mr. Pascaretti was a parishioner of the former Holy Name of Jesus Church, Wilbur. He belonged to the Loyal Order of Moose, Kingston Lodge #970. Surviving, in addition to his wife Josephine, are two daughters Donna Nageli and her husband Erich of Ulster Park, Cynthia Loughlin and her husband Eugene of Ulster Park; one son Nicholas Pascaretti and his wife Erin of Ulster Park; five grandchildren Erich and Laura Nageli, Anthony and Amelia Loughlin, and Nicholas Pascaretti; one sister Doris Peachman of Sandy Hook, CT; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. One brother Frank Pascaretti and one sister Fay Cusanelli both died previously. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Eugene Grohe at Sacred Heart Church, Route 9W, Esopus on Monday at 11:00 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to Voluntary Service, VA Medical Center, 113 Holland Ave., Albany, NY 12208 or Town of Esopus Ambulance Squad PO Box 910, Port Ewen, NY 12466.
