September 20, 1921 — February 3, 2005

Philip G. Belfiore of Katrine Lane, Lake Katrine, died Thursday, February 3 at the VA Medical Center in Albany, NY. He was 83. Born in Mariners Harbor, Staten Island on September 20, 1921. He was a son of Ignazio and Concetta (DeMara) Belfiore. Mr. Belfiore was a freight boat Captain in New York Harbor. After his retirment in 1982 he moved to Lake Katrine with his late wife, Hester. Mr. Belfiore was also a decorated WW II veteran, serving in the Navy, he saw action in the Pacific Theater. Mr. Belfiore is survived by his brother, Jerry Belfiore of Calfornia, sister Christine Napolitano of Staten Island, brother-in-laws, Don, Joseph and Dominick Carraturo, sister-in-law Cecelia Serone and many Carraturo and Belfiore nieces and nephews. Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home on Sunday from 3-6PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Catherine Laboure on Monday at 10:00 AM. Burial will be on Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Gerald B.H. Solomon - Saratoga National Cemetery.
