Pura Ramos

Pura Ramos of Maple Street, Ellenville died Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Kingston Hospital. She was 77. She was born in Central America and has lived in this country for many years. Formerly of Wassaic, NY, Pura entered the care of Ulster - Greene ARC 33 years ago. Pura loved to crochet and cared for her cat, Midnight. Fluent in Spanish, she enjoyed listening to Latin music. A very sociable person, Pura enjoyed participating in social events. She previously worked at Ulster - Greene ARC's Pilot Industries program in Ellenville and later participated in the Day-Hab program. She is survived by many dear friends at Ulster - Greene ARC. Friends will gather at Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston on Friday at 10:00 a.m. A Funeral Service will be conducted by Deacon Richard Frohmiller at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Montrepose Cemetery.
