Ralph T. Sisco of Hurley, passed into God's hands, Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the age of 96. Born in Glasco, NY, he was the son of Thomas Sisco and Frances Mauro Sisco Marrelli. Ralph attended Saugerties High School. During the 1930s, he worked as a motion picture projectionist for silent and early talking movies in Glasco. He served in the US Army as a technical Sgt with the 10th Airforce in C. B.I. Burma, India, during WWII. He was a member of the Jack Jordon Post 5086, Veteran's of Foreign Wars, Color Guard in Hurley. Ralph was a member of the Kingston Lions Club, where he served on the S.E.E.C. Committee and received several club awards. He was a member of the Hurley Senior Club and was a past member of the Glasco Fire Department. Ralph worked for IBM, Kingston for 25 years, where he was a member of the Quarter Century Club. Prior to working for IBM, he drove a bus for the Pine Hill Bus Company. Ralph and his wife Kay Fitzsimmons Sisco were married for 59 years, before her passing in 2007. He is survived by his two children, George and his wife Cindy Sisco, of Saugerties and Karen, of Hurley. He is also survived by five grandchildren: George, Jr. and Sue Sisco of Albany; Melissa and Jack Cerra of Florida; Jeffrey and Aja Sisco of Kingston; Jennifer and Steve Bell of Florida, and Gina Sisco and Jamie Dolecki of Manhattan. He also leaves behind three great-grandchildren, Kailyn, Kendra, and Reme Sisco, a brother, Anthony and Mel Marrellie of Florida and several nieces and nephews. Ralph was predeceased by four sisters, Rose Sisco, Elvera Misasi, Marie Columo and Marie Whittle; seven brothers, Louis, John, Thomas, Michael, Joseph, Charles and Frank Marrelli. Ralph was also predeceased by his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Helen Stall, with whom he shared a very special friendship. Ralph was truly loved by his family and will be sadly missed. Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston on Monday, February 18, from 4-7 pm. The Kingston Lions Club will gather at the funeral home on Monday at 5:30 pm for a service; the Post 5086, VFW will conduct a ritual at the funeral home on Monday at 6:30 pm. The funeral procession will form Tuesday at 9:15 am from the Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church at 10:00 am. Interment, with military honors by John F. Jordan Memorial Post #5086, VFW, will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kingston Lions Foundation, PO Box 3433, Kingston, NY 12402 or St. Joseph's Church Memorial Fund, 242 Wall St Kingston, NY 12401.
