Rita M. Scutt

Rita M. Scutt, 61, of Lake Katrine, died Monday, June 10, 2013 at HealthAlliance Hospital Broadway Campus. Born in Kingston, she was a daughter of Paul Smith and the late Mary Clausi Smith. Rita was a teachers assistant with the Kingston School System for over 20 years. She loved to garden, dance and go to the beach, but the thing she enjoyed the most was spending time with her family and taking motorcycle rides with her husband, Ray. Rita is survived by her husband of 38 years, Raymond C. Scutt of Lake Katrine, whom she married on October 12, 1974, two children, Erick P. Scutt of Lake Katrine and Jill Marie Scutt of Kingston. Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral procession will form on Thursday from the funeral home at 8:45 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Colman's Church. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
