Robert Lewis Stickles

Robert L. Stickles of Merrit Ave., Kingston died Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at Kingston Hospital. He was 91. He was born in Fallsburg on June 6, 1918, a son of the late Harry and Florence Stickles. As a contractor, Mr. Stickles built many homes in the area. He also worked, for many years, as a licensed realtor. His wife, Hildred Whispell Stickles, died in 1998. One brother Clarence Stickles died previously. Surviving are his loving companion, Lauretta Lyons and one sister in law Betty Ann Burton of Sawkill. Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Thursday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Charles Stickley will officiate. Interment will follow in Woodstock Cemetery.
