Roberta Schwartz

Roberta Schwartz, 82, of Woodstock, passed away March 9, 2014 at home surrounded by her family. Born in Brooklyn, she was a daughter of the late Nathan & Sally Sarafan Steinhardt. Roberta is survived by her five children, Craig Berger and his wife Rita of Woodstock, Hal Berger and his wife Ann of Reinholds, PA, Deidre Graziano and her husband Joe of Woodstock, Stuart Schwartz and his wife Ginger of Denver, CO and Gerry Schwartz of Stanhope, NJ. Seven grandchildren, Nathan, Jered, Jason, Shawn, Brandon, Lindsey and Shaina. Her brother, Mel, and his wife, Thea Steinhardt also survive her. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany, at 9:00 AM with Rabbi Jonathan Kligler of the Woodstock Jewish Congregation officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Valley Jewish Community Cemetery in Spring Valley, NY. The family requests that memorial donations be made to Woodstock Jewish Congregation, 1682 Glasco Turnpike, Woodstock, NY 12498.
