Ruth Eck

Ruth Eck, formerly of Fairview Ave. died Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Kingston Hospital. She was 83. She was born December 26, 1925 in Walden, a daughter of the late Samuel and Daisy Bell Rose. A housewife, she was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Napanoch. Her husband, Frank Eck died July 14, 2002. Surviving are her son Franklin Eck and his wife Joan of Kingston; three brothers, Ralph Rose of Venice, FL; Floyd Rose Sr. of Middletown; Robert Rose of Napanoch; one sister, Helen Edge of Kingston; two grandchildren, Franklin E. Eck and Julia T. Eck. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Three brothers, James, Richard and Samuel Rose and two sisters, Sarah Geiselhart and Stella Nelson died previously. Graveside services will be Wednesday, 12:00 PM in Furman Cemetery, Napanoch. Rev. Eileen Daunt will officiate. Memorial donations may be directed to the construction of a handicap accessible ramp at the St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 35 Church St., Napanoch, NY 12458. Arrangements are by Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston.
