Sabina S. Millens, of Henderson, NV died Sunday October 31, 2010. Born in New York City and a resident of Riverdale, Kingston and Port Ewen, NY for 65 years, she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Rose Klein. She graduated from William Howard Taft High School in 1957 and Cornell University with a BA in 1961. She loved to cook and entertain which lead to the establishment of Catering by Maxine in Kingston, NY, acting as culinary lead and Co-President. She was an asset to Millens Steel & Fabricating Service, Inc as Vice President working with her late husband Marvin Millens. She was an active member of the Jewish community serving as President of the Sisterhood of Ahavath Israel, highly involved in the Sisterhood of Agudas Achim, as well as Hadassah. She was also very active with the Hebrew School. Since moving to Henderson NV in 2004, Mrs. Millens had been a member of Midbar Kodesh Congregation, where she had been an active member of Hazak and Chavurah social and community service clubs. She also donated her time to operate the synagogue kitchen for events. Mrs. Millens was predeceased by her husband Marvin Millens, as well as, her brother Bernard Klein. She is survived by her brother, Irwin Klein of Las Vegas, NV; one daughter Maxine Goldberg of Albany, three sons: Arnold Millens of Rock Springs, WY, Neil Millens of Kingston and Jeffrey Millens of Saratoga; seven grandchildren, Jared, Liam, Lauren, Aidan, Gavin, and Sofia Millens, and Ethan Goldberg, several cousins, a niece and five nephews. Funeral services were held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made Joan Nicole Prince Home, 22 Glenview Dr., Scotia, NY 12302. The Joan Nicole Prince Home is dedicated to providing a safe, comfortable and caring residence for terminally ill patients in need of a home during their final days.
